Dear Cam, I have really enjoyed working with CK for almost 3 years! A few months ago, I invited a few friends to join me. They are all qualified & experienced tutors. As of today, none of them have received even an acknowledgement of their application. No approval or denial, just nothing. Why is it that some tutors are approved overnight, and others have to wait months to hear back? Is there any way to expedite the process?

First, thanks for sending your friends our way! We’re so happy you enjoy tutoring on Cambly and love it when CamFam members refer their friends!
Now the apology: we’re sorry your friends haven’t heard back from us yet. Onboarding new tutors is a process we take very seriously as to not affect our current tutor base. We want to make sure there are enough students to go around for all of our committed tutors! It is a question of Supply and Demand. Unfortunately, that might mean a bit of a wait for new tutors to get approved.
If your friends are applying for Cambly Kids, they may hear back sooner than Classic Cambly, as our kids’ team is G-R-O-W-I-N-G fast! Have you applied for CK? If not, click here to apply!
Prospective tutors may want to check their tutor profiles from time to time to make sure they’ve submitted everything necessary. If anything is missing, now’s the time to update it. With so many lovely and qualified people wanting to join the team, we are looking for all the “I” s dotted and the “T” s crossed.
